Ķīpsala Beach is a sandy riverside recreation area on the Daugava in central Riga, with views towards the Old Town and a designated bathing area in season.
Guide preview
On the east side of Ķīpsala island, a strip of sand faces the Daugava and the skyline of central Riga. It is a river beach rather than a seaside resort: the city and Vanšu Bridge remain in view across the water. The public space makes a short pause by the river possible within reach of the centre, whether or not conditions are suitable for swimming.
