Victory Park in Pārdaugava has been a public garden, a site for national celebrations and a focus of disputed wartime memory. Its recent redesign has added paths, water and recreation areas to a landscape with a complex history.

The park’s paths and new water features now occupy a landscape that has repeatedly been reshaped by politics and public life.
